• Dismantle the faulty motherboard, move the RAM into the new motherboard.
  • Backup faulty motherboard MAC Address. You can obtain the MAC Address from the sticker on faulty motherboard. 
  • Install the new motherboard and power on the server. 
  • Press ‘Delete’ to enter bios setting.
  • Under Main, change the OS Selection to Windows 8.x
  • Under Chipset > South Bridge, change Restore AC Power Loss to Power On.
  • Save and Exit. Reboot.
  • After login to default user, switch to Root user.

 

 

  • Make sure the server date and time is correct.

 

 

  • Open network setting, Select Wired and configure the IP Address as follow.
    1. Change Address to Manual
    2. Address: 192.168.2.222
    3. Netmask: 255.255.255.0
    4. Gateway: 192.168.2.1
    5. Click Apply

  • Go to Home > Computer > etc> sysconfig > network-scripts. Right-click file “ifcfg-enp1s0”, open with gedit

  • In the text file, add 1 new line as below. Click Save to save the changes.
    1. MACADDR=ENTEROLDMOTHERBOARDMACADDRESS

  • Open terminal, enter the command below.
    1. systemctl stop network
    2. systemctl start network
    3. systemctl restart dclogshrec
  • Open the network setting, and check whether the correct MAC Address is reflected.
  • Plug in the RJ45 Loop head into the ethernet port. 
  • Restart server. Verify the MAC Address again to make sure it’s the same after server reboot.
  • Perform Test Call.
