* CentOS re-installation steps provided below are recommended for DCLog Express system.
Prerequisite
- CentOS Bootable USB
OS : CentOS 7.2.115
HDD : 1 TB
- Connect USB to DCLog server and boot-up.
- Select 'Install CentOS OS 7' on the next screen.
- In CentOS installation page, select 'English, US', click Continue.
- Set Date & Time
- Under Software Selection, select 'GNOME Desktop', untick all on the right.
- KDUMP -> Uncheck the box
- Network & Host Name -> Change Host Name to 'dclogcos'.
- Turn on Ethernet, and set is as DHCP temporary as we might need internet access to download dependency components.
- Under Installation Destination, select the existing disk (the one with 900++ GB) and choose 'I will configure the disk myself'
- /home -> 50 GiB (Data)
- /boot -> 500 MiB (System Boot)
- / -> 100 GiB (OS)
- /boot/efi -> 200 MiB (Boot)
- /var -> 776.87 GiB (Media File Storage)
- swap -> 4000 MiB (System File)
- Once completed, click 'Accept Changes'
- Click on Begin Installation
- During installation, set password for root -> DupliCALL1234
- Create New User
- Username: dcuser
- Password: DupliCALL1234
- OS installation will take some time. Click Reboot.
- After reboot, Terms & Conditions screen appear. Insert '1' enter. Insert '2' enter. Insert 'C' enter.
- CentOS installation completed. Make sure you are able to login to CentOS using the credential created above.
